Brevard Schools

County public schools include several elementary schools, one middle school and three high schools: Brevard High, Rosman High and Davidson River School. The county has consistently placed among the top ten public school systems in the state, and has placed first twice.

Private schools include Bethany Christian School (K-8) and Anchor Baptist Academy (K-12). Local options for higher education include Blue Ridge Community College (Transylvania Center), a satellite of the main BRCC campus in nearby Flat Rock; and Brevard College, a fully accredited four-year liberal arts college with programs in Science, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Fine Arts and the Humanities.

North Carolina citizens aged 65 and older can register for community college classes without paying tuition. In other words, if you’re 65 or over, those history classes you always wanted to take? They’re free from the local community college.
