Brevard Weather
Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Brevard vividly experiences all four seasons.
Winters are relatively mild, with average lows in the mid twenties, a typical winter snowfall of about six inches total, and infrequent dangerous road conditions.
Summers are warm and temperate. As with most mountain areas, evening temperatures in summer typically decrease pleasantly down into to the sixties. While they’re not unheard-of, hot and sticky summer nights are blessedly rare.
Spring in Appalachia brings blue skies, nourishing rains, and green mountains. March is typically the rainiest month, feeding the area’s lush vegetation for April’s springtime riot of flowers and lush greenery.

Fall’s the most famous season in the WNC area, with rolling mountain ranges offering a breathtaking show of color. Leaf-watching is a popular activity for both tourists and residents alike, with a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway or into Pisgah National Forest both popular activities to take in the spectacular golds and reds of autumn in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
